Some of my friends love this season because of the colours and the clothes style but some don't because of the cold and wet climate. Personally I love it. I just wish that in France, the leafes would changes colour and become red, orange and yellow. In France only a few trees change colour but not as bright and beautiful than in England. I found these photos on Pinterest, and I just love them!

Autumn is a cozy season for me, you can get out the big thick blanckets and cuddle up on the couch in front of a film or a book.

Autumn is a very beautiful season not only because of it's different bright coloured sceneries but because of the varios animals that you can see in the forest or in the fields. I juts love going for a walk in the forest. It relaxes me and gives a little time to get my mind of studies and exams. My days are very busy during the week so sometimes during the week-end I like to go for a walk. You don't have to go far to make the most of this beautiful season before it's all over.

I found these cute cloves on Pinterest and I just wanted to share them with you because they are so lovely. That's also the reason why I love automn, it's the season when you can put on cute cosy and warm clothes. But sadly, the weather in France isn't that cold for you to put on your wolly hats or gloves.

Autumn is also a season to be creative. If it's raining or to cold to go outside, you can make the most of being inside and using your imagintion. Instead of being on your phones or laptops you can make usefull things with your hands. You can make beautifull lights like these to decorate your bedroom for example. I spend too much time in front of my phone or my laptops because of my homework so when I've got time I do something creative to relax my brain.

What I love doing during automn is making myself a lovely mug of hot chocolate or a nice cup of tea.

This is a second DIY that you can make on rainy days. It's a lovely decoration for your bedroom. In France we have many acorns so why not use your imagination and take pleasure making these lovely golden acorns.

This is my favourite automn DIY, I tried it at home and it just makes the automn spirit come into the house. The coloures are also my favourite and they illustrate perfectly the autumn season.

Christmas is just round the corner and it's not going to be long before we start writting our wish lists. I found this mug on Pinterest and I just couldn't share my discovery with you guys. I just love this mug and it's so brilliantly written.

I think you've remarked my obsession for mugs, I just love beautifull mugs and I though this one was so cute.

Thanks for reading

Special events (Marina Nemat, Audition and London Theatre trip)

Hey guys ! It's been a few weeks I've not written any articles but here I am today to write about what's been going on since I last wrote to you on my blog.

I love acting and watching plays, the theater world really inspires me. Even though, I haven't taken any acting lessons I signed up for my school play's audition. The play performed is from the film "Stage Door" (1937). I'd prepared a monologue that was from the film "The Great Gatsby" (2013), it's actually my favourite film at the moment.

A few weeks later, on the 24th of September I went to the audition. I was a little bit nervous but very excited. The audition lasted all day, in the morning we had a little warm up and we presented our selves. Then we made little improvisations in groups.
At lunch time, I went to eat at Subway with my friends. In the afternoon, we acted our monologues in front of everyone. It was a scary but I managed to do it. Finnaly, at the end of the day, we did some sight reading from the play.
It was a really fun day and I really enjoyed myself.

The next week, I found out that unfortunatly, I hadn't been chosen for the play. Of course I was a bite disappointed but at least I can continu my horse riding on saturday mornings and I will certainly audition for the play next year.

On the 27th of september, Marina Nemat, the author of the novel "Prisonner of Tehran" came to visit us at my school. Marina Nemat spent two hours with us, first she talked about her life story and her experiences. Then we asked her a few questions and finally she signed our books.

I think she is an amazing and very courageous woman. It was so strange to see her and realise that she had actually lived what I'd read in the book "Prisonner of Tehran". I really enjoyed spending time with her and talking to her, it was an awesome day.

I've decided to go on a London trip on the theme of Theatre with my school mates. I'm really excited and motivated. It will take place at London in April, I will be travelling by plane. I'll be staying with my friends near Saint Paul's Cathedrale and I'm going to take part in a three day acting workshop, visit a University and see four theatre plays. I've handed in my application so now I just have to wait and see if I'm chosen !!!

For the moment, at my new school, every thing is going great. I've made loads of friends and I no longer lose myself in the corridors.

I can't believe it, it's nearly the holidays, just three more days to go !!!
During the holidays, I'm going to England to visit my grandmother. We're going to go on holiday to Devon. On the way there we're going to visit Stone Hendge and I'm going to see a friend of mine with whom I'm going to go shopping. I can't wait !!!!!!!!!!

Hope everything is great for you.

Write to you later

PS : I've read loads of books during the summer and I'm bounding to present them to you in my next article.

My second day at my new school !

Hi guys !!! Sorry I haven't got back to you since last Sunday but I've had a very busy week.

Anyway, last monday was my second day at my new school. For those who are in the same position as me, I hope it went okay for you.

That morning I started my lessons at 9 o'clock. I don't live that close to my new school. When I was at my previous school I used to get the bus and it would only take me about 15mins to get there. But to go to my new school, there aren't any buses and it's about a 35mins drive (if there's no traffic jams).

On monday morning, when I left home to go to school, (my dad drove me there), the road was choc-a-block. There was an enourmous traffic jam that lasted ages. Hopefully, my dad and I had left earlier to give us some time because we new there would be a lot of traffic.

I was anxious and worried that I would be late to school. It took quite a while to get there but we arrived safely.

When I went into school, I was by myself. Once more I didn't find anyone I new from my class. So I sat on a bench, in the play ground, and waited for my friends. Finally, one of my friends appeared. Then we both went up together for our first lesson : Maths. As you now I don't particularly like maths, (we had two hours of maths...) Again, it was very hot in the classroom!

A few hours later, I went to assembly. The head teacher gave us our English litterature and history-geography teacher. She explained to us the different events of the year to come. And can you believe it, Marina Nemat the author of the novel "Prisonner of Tehran" is coming to our school !!!

During the summer I read her extrodinary novel. I found it amazing. I thought she was a very brave women to have lived threw all those horrible things.

I'm SO excited to meet her !!! Marina Nemat is coming on the 27th of September 2016.
We're going to interview her and if we want she can sign our novels!
I'm sure loads of you will want to know about that fabulous day. I will publish an article on my blog.

After assembly, I ate with my friends at the cantine. We ate on the terrace, it was very nice. Except from the food that wasn't the "most delicious meal I've ever had" but it was okay. When I was at "collège" (Secondary school), the food was a lot better.
Anyway, there's a cafeteria and snacks outside school. I will certainly eat out a few times with my friends.

That afternoon, I finished at 3pm, so it wasn't a long day. Finally when I arrived home, I did my homework (thankfully I didn't have much).

Write to you soon

My first day at my new school !

Hiya !!! I hope you've all had an awesome summer holiday! Sorry I didn't post any articles on my blog but I went to England to see my family then I went on holiday in the country side, in the center of France, where I spent time with my best friend.

Until now, I haven't had time to post any articles for you but from now on, I will start posting new ones.

This year was a very big step for me because I mooved to another school. It's not exacly the same system than in England. I'm nearly 15 and I've left "college" what you call "Secondery school" in England. I'm now in "lycée" what  you call "college" in England. All though, in England students only go to college when they're 16.

Anyway, as much as changing schools, I've been admitted in an internationnal school not far from where I live (in France). Basicly, I don't know anyone at my new school. It's very new to me, it's bigger that my previous school and the students are older.

In my new school; insted of having all my subjects taught in French and learning English as a second language; I will also have History and Geography taught to me in English as well as having English litterature lessons. English won't betaught like a second language but like a first language. My second language will be Spanish.

Anyway, last thursday was my first day at school. I was slightly nervous but excited to discover my new school. Oh... by the way, nomally in France, you can usually visit your future school but this time I couldn't visit it.

When I got to school, everyone seemed to know eachother. It seemed like I was the only new student that had never been to this school. But when I went in, I made friends with a girl who was also new at this school and she was in the same year as me. I was relieved. Then, we had to see in what classe we were.

There were a lot of students in the playground. And they were all strangers to me. Except for one of them who I'd just meet a few minutes ago... Then a second girl came up to me and said she recognized me from the day when students had to pass a test to be admitted in the school. A few seconds later I recognized her too. She was also new to this school. I was no so anxious now, I had met two girls who were in the same position as me.

After, we went up to find or classrooms. There were still a lot of students in the corridors and it was not so easy to get around. In the end, I recognised a third girl who was also on the day of the test. I was happy that she'd been admitted.

Finnally, I found my classroom. Our principal teacher was quite trange but very nice. She made jokes and teased us during an hour and a harlf. She was very funny and made us all laugh. All though I didn't expect her to do that on the first moornng back to school during an hour. I wasn't used to it, in my previous school, the teachers always looked very serious the first day of school. The incovenient was that it was awefully hot in the classroom.

A few hours later, the teacher gave us our time table, all the important informations and then we visited the school. She showed us where all the different classrooms were as well as the cantine, the cafeteria, and where we can study if we've got a gap in the middle of our time table.

The school is enormous, there's loads of classrooms! I hope I'm not going to loose myself!

At the end of the moorning, we went to get our books. A few books were given to me, but they weighed an awfull lot! I hope I won't have to carry them along with me all day!

Finnally, it finished earlier than planned so I had to wait for my dad about three quarters of an hour. I hang out with a few girls who already had homework! I thought I was very lucky not to have homework the first day! As well as having homework, it was a maths exercice. And I don't particularly like maths.

Anyway, I hope you're first day at school went okay, I would be delited to here about them in the comments below!
I will keep you informed of tomorow's "second day at school".

My worst nerve racking day in all of my life !

Hi guys,

Last week, I past an important test to enter an International school. I had to pass a writen and oral test. I felt really really nervous. It was the most nerve racking day of all of my life so far. I’d prepared for this test  with the help of my mum but on the day, I felt sick like if I was going to faint (no worries I was OK). Despite being nervous, I was confident, I trusted my self and I did my 100% best.

It’s totally normal to  feel nervous, for example when you’re passing a mega important test like me, or singing in front of your clase in music, dansing in front of thousands of people, making a speech or passing a sport competition. Just remember to take a deep breath and relaxe. I know it’s easier to say than do but if you try to controle your nerves, you will feel much better.  Before and after passing your test, don’t forget to be confident, think positive thoughts and believe in yourself. I know it’s nerve racking but don’t panick, I’m sure it will go fine.

I’ll have my test resultats in two weeks, until then, write to me in the comments below, if you’ve ever had a nerve racking day, tell me how it went and how did you controle your nerves. It would be amazing if we could share our different experiences and a few tips for how to controle our nerves. Please please please write to me in comments below, it wouldn’t just help me but also all my  followers. And if you need help do not hesitate to ask me in comments or by e-mail ( Tell your friends and family about my blog, and share this article with all the people that you know because it would be a delite for me to help them controle their nerves.

I've finally finished reading it...! (book club)

I've finaly finished reading "Listen to the Moon" by Mickael Morpurgo ! I'm so sorry for the delay but it's a very long book, despite that I loved it. I don't know if you had the save reaction as me but I cried at the end. It such an amazing story with a very happy ending. By the author's description of things and the way he tells the story it makes it seem so real. When I was reading it, pictures were being projected in my head like a film. I don't know if they have made a film out of it because I know they have made the war horse that was based by the novel of Mickael Morpurgo. Whrite to me in the comments if you know if they have made a film of "Listen to the Moon" because I would love to see it. I hope you've enjoyed the book as much as I did. I think it's the best book I've ever read ! We will continu reading other amazing books, the next book to read in the book club is "Girl Online" by Zoe Sugg, for more details about the book, clique-here : and for more details about the book club, clique-here :

Are prices of Lush cosmetics the same all over Europe ?

Afficher l'image d'origine

Hiya !!! A few days ago, I watched a video on youtube were a youtuber was showing all the Lush products she had recently brought at Easter time in England. I live in France, when I went to Lush during the Christmas holidays, sadly I couldn't buy so many Lush cosmetics because they were so expensive. I just recently descovered Lush last year and I love all the cosmetic products that they have. It's such a shame that the cosmetics seem to be so much more expensive here in France than they are in England.
Why is this ???

Hiya ! Why not make something different for easter... Gingerbread easter Bunnies ! ENJOY…

- 50 mins : preparation and cooking time

- difficulty = 3/3

For the dough :

  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 and a half cups of brown sugar
  • 1 and a half cups butter
  • 1 cup ground almonds
  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 1tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground cardamom
  • 1/4 tsp ground mixed spice
  • 4 tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp finely grated lemon zest
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 2 tbsp water
  • flour, for the work surface

To decorate :

  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • a little water

Heat the oven to 180C° (160 fan) 350F, gas mark 4.

Heat the honey, sugar and butter in a pan on a low heat, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Remove the pan from the heat and pour it into a bowl, letting it cool down.

Add the ground almonds, flour, spices, lemon zest and egg to the butter bowl and mix well. Stir in the bicarbonate of soda and water and continue kneading until the dough is shiny and does not stick to the bowl. Add a little more flour if needed, to form a dough.

Roll out the dough on a floured board with a rolling pin, to a thickness of 4-5 mm and cut easter bunnies using a cutter. Place on the backing trays and bake for 14-18 minutes. Carefully remove from the oven, and stile them off the baking tray on to a wire rack to cool.

Mix the icing sugar with enough water and lemon juice to make a creamy icing. Put it into an icing bag, or plastic food bag, and snip off a corner to make a small hole, and decorate the Easter Bunnies. Leave to dry.

Top Tip…

Use different shaped cutters to make stars, hearts or gingerbread people !!!

I hope you will have fun making these delicious gingerbread Easter bunnies !!!

Book Club !!!

Hiya !!! Today I'm going to talk about and ask you if you want to participate in one of my biggest projects for this year 2016 !!!

I'm creating a Book Club for all the people that like reading as much as I do. As I'm in my last year of secondary school, I don't have enough time to read as much as I used to. I think this Book Club is going to incourage us all to read and discover more brilliant books. I hope it's going to also incourage more people to read. This book club is starting today and finishing just before the summer holidays. I've  chosen a few wonderful books from authors I love. In the two months ahead we will be reading "Listen to the moon" by Michael Morpurgo and "Girl Online" by Zoe Sugg (more to come in the next few months).

Every time, we finish a book I will post an article about the story, what I liked or desliked about it and why. You can also leave a coment or send me an email ( telling me about what you thought of the book. If you want  to participate in this Book Club you need to be over 11 years of age because some of the books are quite difficult for children under 10 years old.

The first book we are going to read is "Listen to the moon" by Michael Morpurgo. You have from the 10th of January untill the 13th of February 2016. The article will be posted around the 13th of February. Don't worry, I will still post an article every week-end as usual.

If you have any questions about the book, the club or you need help, don't worry you can send me an email ( and I will try to reply to you as best I can.
You can also suggest a few books that we can read in the book club by leaving me a message.

Lots of love Cara xxx :)
